I've added some links today for a store, Domestications, where you can find bedding and comforters in Halloween designs. See the new "Indoor Decorations by Room" section of the Props and Decorations page. If you're interested, you should check it out today, because they currently have a sale going on many of their Halloween items.

Jo Jo's Circus Costumes - Jo Jo and Goliath

Jo Jo's Circus is a cartoon showing on Playhouse Disney about a little girl (Jo Jo) who is a clown. For the second year in a row, the Jo Jo Costume looks like it will be one of the more sought after Halloween items for young girls. Goliath the lion is also available for boys.

Easy temporary tattoos for your whole arm

I just ran across a product called "Tattoo Sleeves" that are flesh toned sleeves that you pull onto your arms to make it look like your arms are covered with tattoos. They come in a tribal style, a traditional style (both of these are all black ink), and Japanese styles in multi-color. I posted a link for where you can buy them on the Make Your Own Costumes Page.

Companion Costumes for Snoopy

If you saw yesterday's post and decided to buy on of those Snoopy costumes, you might be wondering what goes good with Snoopy. Charlie Brown does, of course, and all you really need to dress up as him is a classic Charlie Brown Zig-Zag T-Shirt. Or, if you have two very young kids, try dressing one as Snoopy and the other as the Red Baron.

Totally Spies Costumes - Alex, Sam and Clover

Totally Spies is a cartoon about three Beverly Hills girls and their adventures in the world of international espionage ... although the show has been on TV for a while, I was still a little surprised today to find Totally Spies costumes for sale.

Don't forget Snoopy & other vintage characters at Halloween

Every year, the costumes that fill stores for Trick-or-Treaters tend to be those that are based on whatever the hot licensed character is, and while there are some classic characters that stick around (Scooby, the Flinstones, etc), there are a lot of others that get forgotten.

I realized today that Snoopy was one of those characters. He's been loved by kids of all ages for decades, and was an important part (as the World War I Flying Ace) of the Halloween classic "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" .... But what if you or your kids want to dress up as him for Halloween? Most stores, online or off, won't be any help. Even SnoopyStore.com, in all it's glory, can't sell you one.

But CartoonCostumes.com can help. See the Snoopy page, or browse the other Cartoon Characters or Site Map to see what else you can dig up.

Lazytown Costumes - Stephanie and Sportacus

It looks like some of the most popular new costumes for kids this year are going to be the ones based on the characters Stephanie and Sportacus from the Kid's TV show "Lazytown". Stephanie is the pink-haired girl in the show. Sportacus is the blue-suited mustache-wearing superhero who always saves the day. These costumes are in very limited supply right now, but there are always some available on eBay. Click here to see what's available.

Fake Pumpkins you can carve like real ones

There is a place that sells a product called Funkins, which are artificial pumpkins and guords that they claim are the most realistic you can find. The pictures of them there definitely make them look realistic. A nice bonus at their site is a collection of Free Pumpkin Carving Templates.

For more about Pupkin Carving, click here.

Disney-inspired yard decorations

I found a site today called Doombuggy Productions that has a lot of cool projects based on and inspired by items found in Disney Theme Parks .. there's even a section devoted to Halloween, with ghosts and pumpkins. The instructions for the projects are quite detailed, and in many cases include information that you can use to invent your own projects. One project is for a ghost carrying a box (the hatbox ghost). It uses lighting effects to make the face of the ghost disappear, while simultaneously making a different face appear in the box.

New Costumes for Kids and Adults

At last count, there were over 250 costume pages here at CartoonCostumes.com. One of the things I've done to make them easier to browse is set up the New Costumes for Adults and New Costumes for Kids pages. These pages list some of the costumes I know of that are new for 2005. These costumes include Corpse Bride, Devo, Budy the Elf, Gilligan's Island, Speed Racer, Popeye, Atomic Betty, Koala Brothers, Lazytown, Shaman King, Winx Club, and Willy Wonka and the Oompa Loompas.
